Pet owners can now enjoy a second dog run in Weehawken with their dogs.

Weehawken Parks, Playgrounds and Ballfields

Garden Park Park Ave. between 38th street and 39th street (Union City) Garden Park is a small but beautifully landscaped reading area with benches, a fountain and greenery.
Church Garden Park 19th Street Playground Garden Park is a small sitting/reading park.
Gregory Park Gregory Ave. at Highpoint Ave. Gregory Park is features a playground. But it also has benches, picnic tables, and a basketball court. All with a NYC View!
Webster Reading Garden Palisades Ave. at Maple Street The Webster Reading Garden is a quiet reading park with benches, a chess table, a wrought iron gazebo and greenery.
9/11 Memorial Ferry Boulevard near the end of Pershing Road Right along the Hudson River Walk, the 9/11 Memorial consists of two trident-shaped beams, which served as supports for the twin towers. The area also includes benches, an infinity pool and fountain.
Weehawken Stadium Park Ave. near Town Hall (400 Park Ave.) Weehawken Stadium/Louis A. Ferullo Field is a full size Football and Baseball turf field. Field use is by permit only. Contact the Recreation Department.
Pershing Park at the base of Persing Road Pershing Park offers a beautiful view of the NYC skyline. There are benches, for sitting or reading. A water feature and it is adjacent to Hudson River Walk.
Hamilton Park Boulevard East at Hudson Place Hamilton Park offers a stunning view of the NYC skyline. There are benches, greenery and a beautiful lawn. For history buffs, there are several monuments nearby - including a bust of Alexander Hamilton and the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial.
Hudson River Walk Along the Hudson River (check this Google map) The Hudson River Walk is a pathway on the western shore of the Hudson River in New Jersey. Once completed it will stretch from Bayonne to the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee.
Louisa Park Accessable from Blvd East or Louisa Place between 46th Street and Fulton Street Louisa Park is a playground that also has two basketball courts (one full court, one half-court). It also has benches, picnic tables, and an excellent NYC View!
Old Glory Park Boulevard East at 51st Street Old Glory Park is a small lanscaped area with benches and a wonderful view of New York City and the Hudson River.
American Legion Veterans Park
Boulevard East at 49th Street

American Legion Veterans Park is a lovely grass fenced in area with benches and a wonderful view of New York City. It is ajacent to the American Legion building and across the street from Old Glory Park.
Pizzuta Park Grand Street between Chestnut Street and West 18th Pizzuta Park is mainly a playground. But it also has benches and picnic tables.
Richard Arricale Field Accessable from Park Ave. (back of Pathmark Parking lot) or Highwood Ave. between Hudson Pl. and Duer Pl. Arricale Field is Weehawken's Cal Ripken/Little League Field which also includes an outdoor batting cage area. Field use is by permit only. Contact the Recreation Department.
Tot Lot Park Highwood Ave. between Liberty Pl. and Eldorado Pl. Tot Lot Park is a playground, with a covered picnic table area. It is intended for use only by children 2-12 and their care givers.
Water Tower Park Park Ave. at 41st Street (Union City) Water Tower Park is a small reading park nestled at the bottom of Weehawken's famed Water Tower.
Weehawken Reservoir Park Corner of Highpoint and Palisade Avenues Weehawken's Reservoir Park includes sitting areas and a walking path along the reservoir.
Weehawken Pier and Lincoln Harbor Park Just north of the Chart House Restaurant Weehawken's Pier stretches 450 ft into the Hudson River. Sitting on 26 concrete pilings, the pier features five piers connected by aluminum bridges, with seating and lighting. Lincoln Harbor Park is nearby with plenty of space to sit, relax and take in the view.
Waterfront Park and Recreation Center 1 Port Imperial Boulevard Weehawken's Waterfront Park and Recreation Center is located along the banks of the Hudson River. The Park includes two small playgrounds, including Linear Park, (one of which is exclusively for toddlers) and the Hudson River Walk which traverses the edge of it. Recreation facilities include a multi-purpose turf soccer field, two softball fields (one of which is turf), a track, three tennis courts, and a work out area.

PLEASE NOTE: The park is open from 7am to 10PM every day.


Any organized activity or group play requires a permit from the Township.

Dog Parks:    
Weehawken Dog Run Boulevard East at Pershing Road Weehawken's Dog Run is a clean fenced in gravel area, set aside for Weehawken's four-legged citizens. It also includes a great skyline and river view for owners. Please clean up after your pet.
Lincoln Harbor Dog Park Baldwin Avenue at Harbor Boulevard Lincoln Harbor Dog Park is a clean fenced in artificial turf area, with some cool rocks to climb on too. Please clean up after your pet.
